Perfection is Boring
?I think perfection is boring. I’ve taken a
million photographs of beautiful flowers and charming places, but in a
way I’ve perfected those kinds of photos – they don’t feel as compelling
to me as they were when I was first learning to use a camera. I don’t
get excited by them anymore.
When I look at all the pictures I’ve
taken over the last few years, I wish I had done more portraiture. ? I
think I will learn and grow more by tackling this type of photography.
When you get good at something you can become uninterested, being a master of something isn’t as rewarding as developing new skills; if you find yourself not as passionate towards something as you once were, try to approach it from a different angle or move on to something new or more challenging. ?
